Tribute to Chief G.C Oranika KSS, KSM, MNI (Ochendo Abatete, Onwa Idemili) Former Director General, Federal Capital Territory

Our Prayers go out to our dear brother, father, grandfather and Uncle, Chief Gordian Chukwuemeka Oranika (Ochendo Abatete, Onwa Idemili) who has journeyed to be with the Saints, he was loved by all of us and he will be cherished in our memories forever. May the love and mercy of our Lord be bestowed upon Chief G.C Oranika and his family during this special time. Chief G.C Oranika was a Catholic faithful in all ramification with his philanthropy next to none. St. Agnes Catholic Church will always remember Chief G.C Oranika for touching the lives of all the Parishioners especially as he made it possible for them to have a worship ground. He was dedicated to the Church of God, supporting the Church and always there when called upon. It is our belief that Chief Oranika is with the Lord. Our Lord Jesus said in John 5:24 that “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” To the family we remind you that no one can prepare you for this loss, words cannot begin to express the sadness you are feeling right now, but take comfort in knowing that Chief G.C Oranika is now resting in the arms of our Lord, for the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 that: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” Wc are therefore consoled by our belief and conviction that when we lose such an ardent believer and dedicated Christian as Chief G.C Oranika here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven. Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his souland the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace Amen.
